Our sister company, B2E Consulting, immediately requires
a senior IT project manager to work for one of its Financial Services clients
on a large and complex Information Systems Programme.
The primary requirement for this role is to project
manage the delivery of a number of IS Capability workstreams whose aim is to
improve the internal IS capability of project delivery teams.
Role & Responsibilities
This is a senior IT Project Manager position, reporting
directly to the IS Capability Programme Manager and liaising with project
teams, business stakeholders, project boards and 3rd party suppliers as
appropriate.
The IS Capability Programme consists of a number of
initiatives, designed to improve the quality and rigor of IS delivery across
the organisation:
* End to End Testing
* ALM Integration
* Cost Allocation Model
* BA Capability
* PPM Tool Finance Interface
* Data Masking
Of these initiatives, the Senior IT Project Manager will
initially have full accountability for delivering the following (with other
streams potentially added a later stage)
* End to End Test Environments
* ALM Integration
* Data Masking
Key Skills and Requirements
Essential
* Proven project management skills across the full SDLC
in large and complex IT programme environments (£30m +, 20 + projects)
* Solid experience of planning & controlling complex,
multi-workstream projects & programmes; experience of setting expectations
with business users; managing and motivating matrix teams, instilling new
approaches across the SDLC
* In-depth knowledge and use of project management
methodologies, IT tools and approaches; Prince 2 certified, SDLC conversant
etc.
* Top tier consulting background, with a highly
structured, rigorous, methodical
approach and excellent communication, stakeholder management,
organisational and presentational skills.
Desirable
* Previous experience of implementing new tools, methods
and approaches which improve the effectiveness of IS delivery
* Financial Services background
