FILLED: Quality Consultant : 6 mths +, Newcastle

Hi all,

We are working with a Government Agency who have a programme that is aiming to reach CMMI Level 3 accreditation.

They require a Quality Consultant to lead this effort. The key requirements are :

Plan Programme/Project Quality Planning with support from relevant SMEs (GAD QMS, Quality and Measurement) and Programme Office Manager:

  • Produce Programme quality goals and objectives
  • Produce quality plan for Programme Manager approval
  • Report progress on quality planning activities to project/programme manager(s)

Execute Programme/Project Quality Assurance and Control

  • Monitor and report progress against project/programme quality objectives
  • Communicate quality issues at Senior/Project Management team meetings
  • Work with QA teams to co-ordinate external QA audits and ensure clearance of audit non-conformities
  • Lead programme initiative to strive for CMMI accreditation
  • Schedule, conduct and review project/programme QA internal healthchecks.
  • Analyse project/programme metrics
  • Quality Assure Work Product Review (WPR) activities and resulting PreSage metrics
  • Produce project metrics variance reports, including SPI/CPI reports and track issues to closure
  • Co-ordinate Programme /Project causal analysis activities
  • Support and provide advice on Post Milestone Project Reviews (PMPRs), the execution of corrective actions and the recording/reporting of lessons learned
  • Work with the CMMi assessment team to co-ordinate CMMi healthchecks and action plans.
  • Establish and co-ordinate QA activities with project strand quality single points of contact

We have a client looking for the following :

Project Manager responsible for managing deliverables, milestones, task, and resources to jointly agreed upon Detail Project Plan. The Project Manager will also be responsible for creating a detail project plan that is resource loaded and contain dependencies and interdepencies between the development, configuration management, testing, release management, and implementation functional teams. Implement standard Project Management Methdologies to manage risk, issues, and contingencies in order to meet desired project deliverables and milestones between and within each of the program functional teams.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 7 years proven project manager experience
  • Experienced practitioner of PM tools and processes (including governance)
  • Experience practitioner rapid application development lifecycle methodology and processes
  • Management of at least 200+ people
  • Experienced in matrix management and use of leveraged capabilities
  • Management of project budget circa $100 million
  • Strong leadership, motivational and team building experience
  • Flexible to travel to other locations
  • Customer facing

Desirable skills required

  • Experience of project application delivery in a global IT organization.
  • PMI PMP CMMI (or similar) Accreditation

FILLED: Prince 2 Coaches : Interim, 6 mths, Hampshire

Hi all,

We are working with a Government Agency who have the following requirement :

4 Project Managers to implement a Prince 2 conformant organisation and to shadow some of the operational managers who tend to be good at their subject areas but need some 'mentoring' to help them become more effective project managers.

This will require consultants used to working in a government environment and having several years experience of Prince 2.

Initially this will be a 6 month contract, planed start from mid January

We are working with a Government Agency who have the following, immediate requirement :

A project manager for a 12month contract who can run the final stage of the procurement and coordinate and manage the internal teams delivering parts of the SOR (statement of requirement) and the suppliers briefings and timetables and process.

Strong PM and communications skills and experience of managing outsourced or service delivery contracts as a PM would be useful, as would Prince 2 qualification and having some exposure to Public sector procurement.

FILLED: Procurement Consultant : 12 months, Hampshire

Hi all,

We are working with a Government Agency who have the following, immediate requirement :

A senior procurement and commercial role, with a functional reporting line into the Head of Procurement and day to day reporting into the Head of the Project Procurement & Contract Management who is responsible for the delivery of the key contracts underpinning a number of key services for a major government event.

The primary responsibility is to lead and manage all aspects of the commercial and procurement activity related to this critical stage of the Project. This is a dynamic and challenging role to define the complete framework, liaise with the two suppliers through the best and final bid process, manage the evaluation and negotiation process through to award, and finalising any remaining commercial details of the contract.

It also involves managing key internal relationships with senior management and operational team leads, as well as external advisors.

The job does nore require deep technical experience and is more suited to an individual with strong business requirements analysis and business case skills as well as project and change management experience.

FILLED: HR Transformation Consultants, City based, 3 Months

Our client is a Financial Service company looking for consultants for an HR Transformation programme. Outputs from this phase of the work will consist of:

A target operating model (TOM) for the global HR function.
The TOM will outline new HR processes, technology, people and structure at a high level.
The business case for the TOM
A programme plan to show how HR function could move to the target operating model.

A lot of the content will come from the existing HR teams, but experienced outside resource is required to help complete the design work and document the output.

The ideal candidate will 5 -10 years change experience and have worked on HRtransformation projects. They will have previous experience of TOM development and good HR knowledge.
They will also have the following attributes:

Logical thinker / thorough
Good writing and PowerPoint skills
Hard worker
Can organise and lead w/shops
Credible with senior management
Experience of Peoplesoft HR would be a bonus

FILLED: SAP Global Functional Architect, Permanent, London

A client is searching for a senior functional architect to manage their global SAP business template. This is a permanent position, based in London with international travel expected.

Role summary:

  • Manages resolution of complex business functional issues on SAP.
  • Assures that all delivery processes are adhered to.
  • Engages and supports the Regional Business Analysts in defining and producing functional specifications of enhancements which drive business value through process simplification and process optimization.
  • Engages the business users and business managers to understand business plans and help define business processes on SAP and to assist in understanding the change management impact and business value creation.
  • Ensures through close co-ordination with the Global Technical Architect that system changes are subject to technical change control with impacts (in/ out) assessed against other components in the EMI system landscape.
  • Jointly, with the Global Technical Architect & Release and Delivery Manager owns the long term planning horizon thus defining release windows into which functional upgrades and changes may be planned and delivered to the business.
  • Owner of the Functional Design Authority for the Global SAP Business Template and the process through which the planned release window and content of the functional release are presented to the Global Operating Board.
  • Owns the process by which regional conflicts in the Global SAP business template are arbitrated and agreed.
  • Jointly, with the GCC (SAP) Manager manages key 3rd parties.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain business / functional strategies, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Manage functional change approval, control and planning processes.
  • Manage functional services delivered by 3rd Party Global Applications Management Vendor.
  • First line of approval for all Functional Change Requests which originate from the regional business analysts.
  • Demonstrate Service Delivery Quality in terms of change management and control.
Key knowledge / skills requirements:
  • Relevant degree preferred
  • 8 to 10 years of strong and broad IT experience
  • 5 to 7 years SAP technical experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practice service delivery processes
  • Experience in managing a global SAP installation and ensuring that commonality and integrity are maintained
  • Experienced in managing concurrent production support and global implementation projects
  • Experienced in managing SAP installations where close interfaced coupling to multiple legacy business applications is the norm
  • Experience in applying control processes to all system deliverables that ensure the overall integrity and quality of the SAP solution
  • Experience in providing maintenance window plans
  • Deep SAP functional skills, project and people management skills are a pre-requisite
