Overview:
Our client immediately requires an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to work their Customer Journeys Programme.  The objective of this programme is to improve their customers' ability to self-service, across multiple channels.

For this particular role the Technical Delivery Manager needs to demonstrate a specific technical grounding in system and software integrations in large / complex corporate environments; as well as ideally having experience of VXML applications, Middleware, and web based type technologies.

The Technical Delivery Manager works directly for the Programme Manager but also has a line reporting to the Cross-Programme Lead. The primary accountability for the TDM is to ensure that all project technical deliverables arrive within agreed scope, quality, timelines and cost parameters.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience
  • Experience of VXML applications, Middleware, and web based type technologies
  • 5 years + full project lifecycle experience operating as a Technical Delivery Manager on large and complex technology programmes using SDLC methodologies 
  • Specific expertise in large and complex system and software migrations / integrations
  • Demonstrable System Integration / Technical Project Management experience across a number of IT projects in a blended team environment (i.e. Top Tier SI, contract, perm, vendor, cross-business functions)
  • Willing and able to review architecture diagrams identifying dependencies as well as reviewing low level component designs with individual teams. 
Delivery Management
  • The TDM will also need to work with a number delivery teams to ensure that the proposed solutions can be delivered and supported identifying mechanisms that will need to be extended to cover new functional areas.
  • The TDM will need to work closely with the following people/teams as a minimum: Business Analysis, Architecture, Solution Design, Infrastructure, Voice, Network Engineering, Digital, 3rd Party Suppliers, Technology teams (OSS, BSS, Middleware & Data), Programme/Project Management, Test, Service Transition, and Business Readiness.

  • Track record of operating effectively in a matrixed, fast moving, dynamic, challenging, release-orientated project environment.
