Role Summary 

Our client is a well-known global legal firm with an internal Business Transformation Team responsible for architecting and delivering change efficiently & effectively across their business functions. 

They are looking for a consultant / junior project manager with strong business-facing project management skills to join their team on a permanent basis. 

This role would be an ideal opportunity for someone in a Top Tier Management consultancy who is looking to further their career and deploy their consulting skills in industry. 

Role & Responsibilities 

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Transformation, the role of the project manager is focused on the successful delivery of specific projects across all functions and all geographies of the firm. 

Responsibilities include: 

* leading the work to scope, structure and plan different projects on behalf of practices/functions

* managing delivery of requirements to plan and within budget from set-up to close, co-ordinating multi-skilled resources appropriate to the requirements

* working with the Head of Project Services to ensure proper governance, control  and monitoring of such projects

* provision of ad hoc consultancy advice and assistance to other projects (e.g. in relation to change management, budgeting, communications, implementation)

 Typical projects may include: 

* Technology enabled change projects (e.g. introducing new e-learning technologies, client relationship management tools)

* Organisation design projects (e.g. restructuring of functions, establishment of shared service centre operations for Business Services (back office) )

* Merger and alliance projects (e.g. establishing alliances with other law firms  or opening new offices)

* Strategy development / policy projects (e.g. implementation of new practice / sector related strategies)

* Business performance / process improvement projects (e.g. implementation of desktop tools and technology, initiatives to support greater function or practice integration / collaboration)  

Key skills and Requirements

Mandatory 

* Top tier management consultancy background or experience of delivering change in a professional services environment

* Experience of successfully delivering change across regional or global business environments

* Strong project management & stakeholder management skills, with an excellent delivery record and appreciation of PM methodologies & disciplines 

Advantageous 

* Project management qualifications (e.g. Prince 2, MSP, PMP)
