Role Summary

Our client is a global law firm looking for an Analyst to work on Strategy Projects. 

Example projects include: 
* New market development strategies
* Specific geographic strategies and performance improvement projects
* Development of partner hiring, working with key partners
* Review of opportunities for development of firm's capabilities e.g. mergers / lateral hire reviews
* Organisation structure design and implementation

The role will suit someone with high intellectual calibre who has well grounded experience in Marketing and Strategy analysis and is on an upward career path, looking for more Senior Roles in Strategy in the next two years.

Details 

The Strategic Project Analyst will be responsible for the following activities. 

* Leading analysis for strategy projects including requirements gathering and clarifying, identifying  sources, scoping research requirements and aggregating and presenting results.

* Lead consultations in support of projects with strategy project managers and generally with partners and senior individuals in the firm

* Take the initiative to feed strategic information to the business in order to drive appropriate      decisions.

* Maintaining an ongoing analytical perspective on factors impacting the business, in particular:
   -  macroeconomics and the impact of trends in key financial markets driving the firm
   -  major trends within industry sectors
  -  trends and shifts in the competitive environment
  -  best practice within professional services firms 

* Keeping abreast of the firm's performance to identify areas which require performance improvement/assistance.

Key skills and Requirements 

* A  strategic marketing or consulting background with suitable academic qualification (good degree, MBA or CIMA preferred)

* Strong analytical skills - able to use internal data, external sources, Excel and Powerpoint, to put together well articulated analysis which stands up to scrutiny by Senior Management.

* High intellectual capability with strong interviewing, workshop and presentational skills.
