Role Summary

Our client is a Financial Services Organisation undergoing transformation of their activities

They are looking for a Network Infrastructure Architect to support a programme of infrastructure projects as part of new business initiatives.

This role reports in to the Lead Infrastructure Architect.

Details

This role includes the following activities:

• Ensuring appropriate infrastructure/network solutions and approaches are correctly priced for the requirement placed.

• Ensuring designs are in line with Chief Technical Officer standards and will meet the requirements of the business

• Ensuring the business provides adequate non-functional requirements within the network arena.

• Ensure that all security requirements and standards are met by the network design

• Ensure a forward thinking design approach for the current and future state of the Network infrastructure

• Main interface for Infrastructure Provisioning and Environments Management into 3rd party supplier Chief Technical Officer.

• Accountable to the Chief Technical Officer to ensure that infrastructure design is in line with direction

Key Skills and Requirements

• 5 + years experience in large and complex IT networks as an architect or design authority

• Experienced in WAN/LAN design and in working with 3rd party suppliers, and in-house network infrastructure teams to design a broad range of network infrastructures

• Excellent overall knowledge of a broad range of Network technologies (Cisco, Symantec, Bluecoat, Checkpoint, Nortel, Avaya, and Nokia equipment, Big IP , Routers, Firewalls, Load balancers Proxy servers, Layers 2 & 3 Switches, Wireless technologies, LAN, WAN, SAN, Traffic management, and VOIP.)
