Role Summary

Our Financial Services client requires an experienced business analyst with excellent stakeholder management skills to work in their IS and Business Change portfolio.

Role
The main purpose of the role is to facilitate effective communication between the business, IT and 3rd party suppliers in order to gather a set of business requirements which can be used to drive efficient delivery of process and / or system solutions.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Developing strong working relationships with key business stakeholders to establish trust and credibility in representing the business needs and requirements
* Working closely with fellow BAs, and each of the IS functional teams (in particular PMG), to ensure that IS is aligned with business requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle
* Working with business users and members of the other IS functional teams to contribute to a technology strategy that drives continuous business process improvement
* Facilitating strong engagement with business unit stakeholders to ensure the adoption of technology-based solutions by the business
* Fostering innovation and being an active contributor to the ongoing learning and development of the BA team through knowledge sharing and being an advocate for better practice.

Key Skills and Requirements
Essential

* 5 years + experience of business analysis across the full project lifecycle (e.g.facilitation, requirements gathering, documentation, testing)
* BA experience gained within large structured business environments (preferably in Financial Services) on complex programmes with significant IT and third party supplier components.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, relationship management and inter-personal skills
- the ability to influence outcomes where appropriate, ensuring IS and business alignment, negotiate needs and expectations across multiple stakeholders

Desired

* Educated to degree level- with additional qualifications advantageous (e.g. ISEB
certification)
* Exposure to Financial Services or working on projects in a similar regulated business environment
* Good working knowledge of RUP or UML and experience of delivering Use Case notation in documentation
