Role Summary

Our client is integrating the Release Management and Change Processes within its Service Transition organisation to provide a consistent and seamless approach to Service Transition, fully aligned with ITIL Best Practice.

They require an experienced Service Transition and Release Analyst to assist with the implementation of these new processes and ensure that all project teams and 3rd parties understand and support the proposed Service Transition Model.

Details

The Service Transition organisation is responsible for the transition of systems from the project phase into Business as Usual. This role reports directly to the Service Transition Manager.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure a consistent and seamless approach to Service Transition across the organisation. Specifically this involves:

•managing and reviewing deliverables to achieve operational acceptance and readiness (e.g.,Non Functional Requirements, Acceptance Criteria, Support Model, Acceptance Reports, Service Level Agreements, Contractual Support Schedules)

•attending & contributing to project and release control boards and steering committees

•ensuring support functions are prepared and capable of supporting any new services deployed.

•ensuring all Service Transition requirements are understood by engaging teams.

•identifying all Service related risks and issues and ensure they are managed.

•working with existing teams on in flight project engagements to ensure the service readiness criteria are being tracked and on target.

•identifying & managing the Acceptance & Readiness activities across the Service Transition Portfolio.

•conducting project completion and assessment (business case benefit achievement) together with review and lessons learnt.

Key skills and Requirements

•Experienced Service Transition Analyst, with deep understanding of Release & Change Management processes

•Experience of implementing systems into large and complex live IT environments using ITIL based standards

•Effective in working collaboratively across multiple projects, teams, and with 3rd parties to encourage the adoption of new processes

Qualifications

•Degree qualified
•ITIL Foundation level accreditation or Prince II Foundation certified
