Role Summary

Our client, a global financial services organisation, urgently requires a project manager with strong technical expertise / capability to lead the integration of a new testing toolset across all projects within the client's Strategic Information Systems Investment Programme.

Details

This primary goal of this project is to harmonise and integrate the various independent toolsets that are used by the various IS departments to provide a single and consistent view of project information right from requirements management through to design, build, test and release.

Currently a range of toolsets are used to accomplish specific tasks such as requirements gathering, design and delivery management and test management and, although effective in their respective tasks, require significant effort in reconciling the information held in each of them.

An Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Tool has recently been implemented. This has the capability to integrate with a number of other tools used by the client within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Use of ALM is now mandated to be used by all projects for test management activities, which presents an opportunity to further extend the tool's capabilities into other stages of SDLC, facilitating an effective end-to-end IS delivery using an integrated toolset.

Key Skills and Requirements

* Experience of implementing and integrating test tools in large and complex business senvironments (not necessarily ALM, although this would clearly be an advantage)
* Strong full-lifecycle project management experience
* Strong technical background
