Role Summary

Our client is a Financial Services Organisation undergoing a number of Information System (IS) Improvement Initiatives.

The Technology Security Team within the Organisation plays a key role within IS, supporting business-led and IS change programmes and operational security management, and driving security improvements where required.

They are looking for an IT Security Consultant to act as the Security Point of Contact for a Portfolio of Projects.

This role will suit an experienced IT Security Consultant with a knowledge of IT security solutions and their integration and operation into business systems and processes.

Details

The job holder will be accountable for:

* Providing security consultancy support to individual projects, with accountability for the quality and timeliness of delivery

* Supporting the Senior Security Consultant as required

This role is to:

* Provide security consultancy services on a number of business and IS change programmes

* Provide specialist advice on IT security solutions to meet business needs

* Undertake security assurance activities relating to programmes and projects, and to outsourcing and off-shoring

* Provide Information security risk assessment and analysis, including residual risk identification and management

* Conduct risk assessments, create security requirements and consult on design.

Key skills and Requirements

Mandatory

* A proven track record in both IT security and IS/IT

* Knowledge of IT security solutions and their integration and operation into business systems and processes

* Experience in using a formalised IT security risk management methodology

Desirable

* A technical degree or professional qualification (e.g. CISSP, CISM or CISSA)
* Experience in ITIL and/or Prince2
* Experience in ISO 27001/2 and/or ISF
