PJ-6267; INTERIM: Technical Project Manager, Test & Production Environments, Approx £550 per day, M3 Corridor, IMMEDIATE start, 6 months+

Our client immediately requires an experienced Technical Project Manager to work with strategic partners and internal delivery teams to deliver a strategic transformation programme.

For this particular role the Technical Project Manager needs to demonstrate technical project management expertise delivering infrastructure and working with remote teams to ensure that the required hardware and software systems are effectively deployed to Test and Production environments.

The Technical Project Manager works directly for the Programme Manager but also has a line reporting to the Cross-Programme Lead.  

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the build of test, pre-production and production environments are managed, working closely with the other Technical Project Managers to manage the integration of components and sub-systems into the environment whilst managing the configuration.  

Key Skills and Requirements:



  • 5 years + system environment management experience operating as a Technical Project Manager on large and complex technology programmes using SDLC methodologies across a number of IT projects in a blended team environment (i.e. Top Tier SI, contract, perm, vendor, cross-business functions)
  • Specific expertise in large and complex system and software migrations / integrations. 


Delivery Management
  • The Technical PM will also need to work with a number of remote delivery teams to ensure that the proposed solutions can be delivered and supported, identifying environment requirements where required, to cover new functional areas
  • The Technical PM will need to work closely with the following people/teams as a minimum:  Strategic partners, Business Analysis, Architecture, Solution Design, OSS, Network Engineering, the Client Test Service (TS), and Technical / Business Readiness. 

Working Environment
  • Track record of operating effectively in a matrixed, fast moving, dynamic, challenging, release-orientated project environment.

Overview:
Our client immediately requires an experienced Technical Delivery Manager to work their Customer Journeys Programme.  The objective of this programme is to improve their customers' ability to self-service, across multiple channels.

For this particular role the Technical Delivery Manager needs to demonstrate a specific technical grounding in system and software integrations in large / complex corporate environments; as well as ideally having experience of VXML applications, Middleware, and web based type technologies.

The Technical Delivery Manager works directly for the Programme Manager but also has a line reporting to the Cross-Programme Lead. The primary accountability for the TDM is to ensure that all project technical deliverables arrive within agreed scope, quality, timelines and cost parameters.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience
  • Experience of VXML applications, Middleware, and web based type technologies
  • 5 years + full project lifecycle experience operating as a Technical Delivery Manager on large and complex technology programmes using SDLC methodologies 
  • Specific expertise in large and complex system and software migrations / integrations
  • Demonstrable System Integration / Technical Project Management experience across a number of IT projects in a blended team environment (i.e. Top Tier SI, contract, perm, vendor, cross-business functions)
  • Willing and able to review architecture diagrams identifying dependencies as well as reviewing low level component designs with individual teams. 
Delivery Management
  • The TDM will also need to work with a number delivery teams to ensure that the proposed solutions can be delivered and supported identifying mechanisms that will need to be extended to cover new functional areas.
  • The TDM will need to work closely with the following people/teams as a minimum: Business Analysis, Architecture, Solution Design, Infrastructure, Voice, Network Engineering, Digital, 3rd Party Suppliers, Technology teams (OSS, BSS, Middleware & Data), Programme/Project Management, Test, Service Transition, and Business Readiness.

DB-6276; INTERIM: Software Release Manager, Digital Platforms - Immediate Start, Approx £500 per day, West London, 6 months+


Overview:
Our client immediately requires a hands-on Software Release Manager (SRM) to shape and drive the transition from a waterfall-based to an iterative-based release schedule for its Digital B2C platforms.
This is a new role, so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can quickly define and implement a release strategy that is aligned to emerging business needs.

Key Accountabilities:
This new role operates within the client’s Digital Transformation Programme.  Accountabilities include (but are not limited to): 
   Working closely with development, test and service delivery teams to define and implement a release strategy that aligns with the business demands
   Creating and owning the monthly software release plan
   Managing the deployment of work packages across the various development, test, integration and pre-prod environments
   Running release management workshops with delivery and development heads and facilitating go/no-go decisions on releases
   Actively resolving blockages and areas of contention
   Communicating release plans to all teams.  

Desired Skills & Experience:
Mandatory
   Recent experience as an SRM on high transactional B2C or B2B digital platforms
   Experience and understanding of source code versioning and branching (preferably SVN)
   Strong knowledge of the full SDLC, in both an Agile and Waterfall environment
   Experience of enterprise level change/release management and of supporting platforms post release
   Demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging and delivery-focused operating environment.
Desirable
   SVN experience
   Experience of Confluence
   Experience of release management with Jira or Kanban.
